hideous-carwreck asked: fun fact in regards to your post about hitler being an artist: his father was the leading downfall to his, for lack of a better word, stray from art. his father harshly discouraged the career of being an artist and told him that hitler 'would be a painter over his dead body', so says adolf. so there's a lesson for parents here as well.

“I am apprenticed to two crafts I can never master: writing and teaching.” - Don Murray If there’s anything I’ve learned this semester after all of this writing, lesson planning, tutoring, and reading, it’s the truth in that statement. What a hard thing to accept!

Tigers Sometimes Need Their Mothers
Crouching low in the thick grass, her hands and feet pushed against the moist earth as she scavenged for delectable morsels of leafy clovers and only the prettiest of wildflowers. She would look to see if anyone was watching before picking something to eat, and although real bunnies used their mouths to pick up the verdant, summery goodness, the little girl cheated and used her hands before she...

The water churned and spun, circling in on itself, pulling down wayfaring leaves and tiny twigs ripped off branches by boys along the shore.  The baby, with fistfuls of dirt, neared the water’s edge to sprinkle the dark earth and debris across the glassy surface of the dark waters. The rocks sank. The...
